Winner Engineering Division's Operations Management Department Conducts Specialized Training on Engineering Cost Management

To further enhance the professional skills and project management capabilities of Winner Group’s Engineering technical staff, the Operation Management Department of the Engineering Division organized a specialized training session on engineering cost management on October 15. The training aimed to deepen technicians' understanding of total project investment, installation engineering costs, and types of contracting agreements, while strengthening their practical skills in budget preparation, software applications, and visa application.
During the session, the instructor elaborated on the definitions of project hierarchies, including construction projects, single projects, unit projects, and sub-divisional works as well as the workflow and classification standards for engineering budget preparation. The training also provided in-depth guidance on operating techniques for software such as Glodon and Future List, covering processes like software download, project setup, budget compilation, main material input, and adjustment of provisional sums. Emphasis was placed on the criticality of complying with bill-of-quantities (BOQ) calculation rules.
Additionally, the training highlighted key considerations and strategies for handling engineering change orders. Technicians were encouraged to standardize and rationalize the documentation of additional claims by leveraging construction contracts and BOQ calculation rules, thereby helping the company secure more reasonable profit margins.
This initiative not only expanded technicians' professional knowledge but also elevated their comprehensive competencies and practical expertise in engineering cost management. It has laid a solid foundation for them to play a more impact role in future engineering project management.
